Our Itineraries
This project has been created by Claudia and Giulia, volunteers of the Nationale Civil Service 2015/2016 at the Consorzio Pro Loco Valpolicella. The girls have participated at the project V.V. Veneto, dedicated to the World War I. For this reason they have done this work, in collaboration with Alice, volunteer of the Regional Civil Service during the same time and in the same association.
The expression V.V. Veneto has been adopted as a metaphore to remain those places which have been damaged by the events followed one another during the War. V.V. Veneto is the acronym of Vittorio Veneto, a city became symbol of the World War I,
In 2015, year of the anniversary of the War, mentioned above, Unpli proposed to the guys, who participated at Civil Service, the creation of some projects dedicated to the War, to remain the events and the places which have been damaged.
Although the territory of Valpolicella has not been reached by the soldiers during the World War I, the girls, who have created this project, decided to study and create a work dedicated to the forts of Valpolicella and Val d'Adige, some buildings that have indirectly been damaged by the warlike events in the nearby areas. This project aims to give value and to safeguars an historic heritage, which has been used as deposit and armed during the War, and now partially abandoned and forgotten.
